Andrew Ingham and Associates specialises in the production of architectural models of all kinds.
We offer a wide range, from simple block models, working models and masterplanning models to fully detailed marketing and Exhibition model.
Architectural models form simple sculptural statements that include internal lighting and mechanisms that split models, showing interiors and section.
Architectural models in materials such as hardwood, acrylic, metal or glass, or sprayed models produced to tight specifications and deadlines, to the highest standards of accuracy.
We are fully integrated into the IT world, with all our activities based on CAD-CAM technologies. We run two large CNC milling machines, three laser cutters and engravers, produce several types of rapid prototyping objects (SLA, SLS 3D printing etc.) and are adept with all major 3D drawing files.
History -
Andrew Ingham began model making in 1979 after qualifying at the Architectural Association School of Architecure (1972-1978).
In 1980 he helped to form Tetra Design Services building architectural models for Richard Rogers. Norman Foster, James Sterling and many others.
In 1992 he formed Andrew Ingham and Associates and undertook many commissions including modelmaking for Paternoster Square, Waterloo Passenger Terminal, the London Eye as well as major exhibition models for the Royal Academy (Living Bridges, Sir John Soane) and Boston Museum of fine Art (City of Armana).
Collectively we bring a wide range of skills, experience and technical knowledge to any problem. We are familiar with traditional methods of model making including contouring, vacuum forming, turning, spraying and moulding as well as new forms such as lasering, CNC machining and rapid prototyping.
Our workshop is fully equipped and we welcome visits from clients and architects at any time during the execution of a commission.
